Lauren Nguyen, OD

Dr. Lauren Nguyen is an optometrist dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered eye care with a focus on comprehensive eye care, spectacle and contact lens correction and the diagnosis and management of ocular conditions, including diabetic eye disease, cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye disease, macular degeneration and neuro-ophthalmic disease. She is committed to delivering thorough eye examinations, utilizing advanced diagnostic technology and helping patients maintain lifelong vision and eye health through personalized, evidence-based care.
Originally from New Orleans, Dr. Nguyen earned her Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Louisiana at Monroe before receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry. She completed a primary care and ocular disease and optometric surgery residency at Bond-Wroten Eye Clinic, where she gained advanced experience managing ocular disease, performing laser procedures, treating dry eye diseases, performing minor in-office procedures and co-managing surgical patients alongside ophthalmologists.
Throughout her clinical training, Dr. Nguyen completed internships and externships at Bond-Wroten Eye Clinic, Eye Central and the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry clinics. These experiences provided advanced training in comprehensive eye care, specialty contact lenses, pediatric eye care, low vision, refractive surgery co-management and the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of ocular diseases. She also participated in clinical research and professional education through poster presentations and lectures while working collaboratively with ophthalmologists and other health care providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Known for her compassionate approach and commitment to patient education, Dr. Nguyen is dedicated to helping patients feel informed, comfortable and confident in their eye care. She remains actively involved in clinical education, research and community outreach while providing high-quality, individualized vision care.
