Eyecare Associates is pleased to announce that Kevin Kasovich, O.D. will join our practice October, 1, 2016. He will be working with Chuck Stumpf, O.D. and Terrell McGinn, O.D., to provide both routine and medical eye care to our patients. Dr. Kasovich will be in clinic on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings.
Dr. Kasovich graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Science in zoology in 2000, and from Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, Tennessee, magna cum laude in 2004. He completed a residency in ocular disease at Omni Eye Specialists in Baltimore, Maryland. He is licensed by the State of Louisiana to practice Therapeutic Optometry and Authorized Ophthalmic Surgery and is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease.
Dr. Kasovich comes to us from Chiasson Eyecare Center in Raceland, where he was an Associate Optometrist from 2005 through September of 2016. Dr. Kasovich was named the 2013 Optometry Association of Louisiana Young OD of the Year, and was elected president of the Louisiana Optometric Association for 2016. He is currently a Captain in United States Air Force Reserve at Barksdale Air Force Base, 307th Bomb Wing, providing ocular care to B-52 pilots and crew.
He is married to Laure Chamberlain Kasovich, a Mass Communication instructor at Nicholls State University. They have two young sons.
